Today is a day that I have much energy to spend, today I want to create blog posts and finally fix old clothing up and clean my desk. I just want to do more than my day allows.
I might of just done a blog series on women’s menstruation cycles but at times like this it’s so apparent that I’m living what I’m believing. It’s follicular time working up to ovulation and my energy is rising and my creativity is at a high for the month.
When creativity hits, you respond, you don’t wait for another day. You don’t go on social media or waste this new found energy, you throw yourself into new ideas.
You bullet list and you write, you do what you’ve been putting off. You spring clean , you laugh, you socialise. You organise and do, do , do. It’s time to shine.
5 tips on how to raise creative energy
Journaling – Every morning just write what comes into your mind. This gets the junk out and allows inspiration to arise. Asking yourself questions and writing what comes up with no filter will surprise you at how great it is for coming up with new ideas without thinking too deeply about it.
Abstain from sexual activities – Creative energy and sexual energy are on the same spectrum. Why else would a baby be created from sex. They both come from the sacral point and by abstaining from sex and masturbation some say you don’t spend your life or Shakti energy. Instead use your horny ass energy and visualise it raising upwards through your body rather than staying in the lower chakra. Whether you believe in chakra points or not this is still a good visualisation. The womb area creates life so think this thought and move the energy up so you can give birth to creative ideas instead.
Exercise – Dance, do yoga, go for a run. Sometimes I get so much energy if I don’t spend it on exercise it becomes too much and transforms into anxiety. As I exercise frequently I also feel a difference in my energy and mood. My happiness becomes more sustainable and with any gained or leftover energy I transcend it into my creative projects.
Intuitive rest – At some point you feel like you want to stay in, not talk to anyone and laze around in bed. Listen to this calling as it’s usually there for a reason. I find that at the end of the month If I chill out to the max, the beginning of my next cycle is more productive.
Just Create – Whatever your creative output is just pick up your chosen instrument and play, draw, write, create. By no means does it need to be good, the aim is to just start. So many will tell you they failed a lot before they had a piece they fell in love with. At the end of the day you’re not going to create anything if you don’t touch what you’re passionate about.
