This smoothie bowl is super indulgent , super healthy and so tasty that I can’t stop eating it every morning. A sweet and nutty Granola with Banana and peanut butter milk. Add the toppings of fresh summer fruits such as sweet strawberries, fragrant clementines and juicy grapes and you’ve satiated your taste buds and your levelled up in the health department.
The recipe below includes a bigger batch of Granola than required however it can be kept in an airtight container for a few months. The smoothie recipe is made for one person to enjoy breakfast so multiply ingredients depending on how many bowls you want to make.
I usually shop at Aldi so a few of the items such as trail mix are pre-made which makes this such a simple recipe to follow. However whatever brand you want to use is fine and you can even buy separate seeds/nuts/dried fruits and combine to your taste.
This has to be one of the hardest meals to photograph as I could hardly take the pictures without my stomach growling for me to eat it up.

Granola
160g Oats
40g Olive Oil
40g Maple syrup (or opt for agave or honey)
1 tbsp Cinnamon
Mixed trail Mix (Aldi’s version is my favourite which includes coconut flakes, peanuts, almonds, cashews and raisins)
- Measure out your 40g of oil and maple syrup into a jug and then add the cinnamon, making sure to whisk to combine ingredients thoroughly.
- Pre heat Oven to 150ºc degrees and spray a tray with oil.
- Coat the oats with the maple syrup mix and put it on the tray.
- Place in the oven for 20 minutes making sure to move around the oats half way through
- Once you’ve removed them from the oven you can add your desired amount of trail mix. It’s best to add this afterwards so it doesn’t burn in the oven.
- Leave to cool and then place in airtight container so they will last for up to a few months.

Banana & Peanut butter Smoothie
1 Banana
1 tbsp Peanut Butter
200ml Water
Ice cubes (if you want cold milk)
Any extra powders you want to add
I included a ground flaxseed, sunflower & goji berry mix (Aldi again) and Reishi mushroom powder.
Smoothie Toppings
1 tsp Chia Seeds
Strawberries
Grapes
Clementine
- Simply combine all smoothie ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into your breakfast bowl.
- Chop your fresh fruit toppings, add your granola and any other toppings as you wish.
- Get that spoon out and enjoy a nutritional breakfast bowl.
